2009

 Founded Everyday Energy the first solar company to exclusively focus on multifamily affordable housing. 

2010

 • 1st MASH Installation Benefitting Tenants in California

 • 1st Virtual Net Metering interconnection in the history of the solar industry 

2011

• Set Virtual Net Metering Standards for San Diego Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison, and Pacific Gas & Electric. 

• No Cost Affordable Housing Specific Solar Service Agreement generally accepted by housing owners and the US Department of Treasury

 • Helped the CPUC tailor the MASH Program to make it more likely for multifamily affordable housing owners to invest in solar. 

2012

• Achieved 92% Affordable Housing Market share in San Diego 

• Achieved the most MASH installations in the state of California 

• Implemented multifamily affordable housing Job Training Program 

• Hired job training students for long term employment 

2013

• Advised President Obama on Climate Action Plan’s goals for solar on multifamily affordable housing. • Guest ofthe President for the National Rollout of the Climate Action Plan 

• Joined US Department of Energy’s Sunshot Program at request of White House to demonstrate that solar on affordable housing is both technically feasible and bankable. 

2014

• Provided guidance adopted by CPUC to implement MASH 2.0. 

• Originated the concept of a tangible direct tenant benefit of 50% for virtually net metered solar 

• Worked with the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee to originate policy to adjust utility allowances to reflect the impact of solar. 

2015

 • Originated the idea and text of AB 693 providing $1 Billion for multifamily affordable housing solar

 • Worked with CALSEIA, MASH Coalition, and CEJA to persuade Assembly member Susan Talamantes-Eggman to sponsor AB 693. 

• Identified a $1Billion funding source for multifamily affordable housing 

• Provided testimony and support to get AB 693 through the CA Senate and Assembly and ultimately signed by Governor Brown.  

2016

• Secured 65% of the statewide California MASH market 

• Invited by President Obama as Speaker at White House for third time to spur investment in LMI Solar nationwide. 

• Everyday Energy held out as a prime example of a successful public/private financial partnership that helps the environment, strengthens affordable housing developments and benefits tenants. 

2017

• The Year of Advocacy in Action 

• AB 693 became the SOMAH Program 

• Everyday Energy very active in the CPUC deliberative process 

• Filed a Time of Use Exemption Petition for Modification to protect low income renters

 • Drove the policy to pair solar on multifamily affordable housing with battery storage through the use of virtual net energy meering 

• Developed the largest LIWP solar installation in the state of California (Parks at Fig) 

2018

• Installed 13 megawatts of solar on affordable housing 

• Focused on advocacy efforts to help implement the SOMAH Program 

• Created a prepaid Solar Services Agreement specific to SOMAH 

• Doing all of the hard work to make solar easy for affordable housing owners 

2019

• Joined Sunrun to establish their multifamily division

• Helped Establish Sunrun’s Goal of 100MW of solar on affordable housing

• Successfully applied for the first tranch of SOMAH Projects 

2021

 Originated Idea of the Low Income Housing Renewable Energy Credit HR 5183 

2022

 HR 5183 adopted as part of the Inflation Reduction Act as the Low Income Community Bonus Credit 

2023

Maintained Virtual Net Metering for Multifamily Affordable Housing Under NEM 2.0 until 2052

2025

• Worked with Senate Majority Leader Thune to preserve the Section 48E tax credits 

• Created the SOMAH only Solar + Storage Service Agreement
