Kyra Bush Sarem is the Founder of DAC Energy and Co-Founder of Everyday Energy, bringing deep expertise in renewable energy, construction, and  regulatory strategy to California’s clean-energy market. A licensed attorney in  the State of California and holder of both C-46 (solar) and B (general   contractor) licenses, Kyra bridges the legal, technical, and operational aspects of   energy development. Her leadership and multidisciplinary background enable   DAC Energy to deliver innovative, compliant, and scalable solar and storage   solutions for multifamily affordable housing across California. 

Scott Sarem is a clean-energy pioneer with more than 30 years of executive experience leading companies from startup through growth and strategic integration. He co-founded Everyday Energy and, through continued leadership at Sunrun following the integration of Everyday Energy’s team and assets in 2019, helped deliver solar benefits to over 700 properties and 100,000 residents across California. Recognized by President Barack Obama as a national expert in expanding renewable energy access for low- and moderate-income communities, Scott helped design and champion the MASH Program, Assembly Bill 693 (SOMAH), and the Section 48/48E Low-Income Community Bonus Credit. In 2025, he collaborated with Senate Majority Leader John Thune to protect clean-energy incentives and preserve investor confidence amid proposed federal rollbacks. Now leading DAC Energy, Scott is pioneering new models to deploy solar + storage for multifamily affordable housing without federal tax credits, driving long-term energy equity and resilience.

James Lynch General Manager, National Sales — DAC Energy

James Lynch is a seasoned clean-energy sales leader with more than 35 years of experience driving growth across sales, marketing, and strategic partnerships. At DAC Energy, he leads national sales and partner development with a focus on advancing solar and storage solutions for multifamily and affordable-housing communities across California and beyond.

Before joining DAC Energy, James served as Sales Manager at Sunrun (2023 – 2025), where he led national sales for the company’s Multifamily Affordable Housing division. Managing a high-performing team, he delivered over 40 megawatts of new solar capacity annually, achieving more than 100 percent of megawatt goals in both 2024 and 2025. 

James brings a career-long record of building strategic partnerships with mission-driven developers, housing authorities, and community organizations. His work consistently aligns clean-energy innovation with economic justice, tenant benefit, and long-term asset-value creation.

John Martin — Director of Sales & Service, DAC Energy

John Martin brings deep expertise in both solar development and financial strategy to DAC Energy’s mission of delivering solar and storage solutions for multifamily affordable housing.

Before joining DAC Energy, John personally led Sunrun’s Multifamily Division in contracting solar projects across California—helping affordable-housing developers install systems at no cost and no risk, designed to eliminate common-area electricity expenses while providing significant monthly savings to residents.

With a background in financial planning and portfolio construction, John has extensive experience developing long-term, customized investment and energy strategies that optimize value and minimize risk. His areas of expertise include solar financing, income and estate planning, tax-advantaged portfolio design, and hedging strategies for concentrated holdings.

At DAC Energy, John combines his financial acumen with hands-on project experience to deliver transparent, results-driven solutions that align with the unique needs of affordable-housing owners and the communities they serve.

Alexander Sarem is a Development Manager at DAC Energy, bringing hands-on experience in solar project execution and client service. From 2022 to 2025, he advanced through key roles at Sunrun, where he became the highest-rated Assistant Account Manager before leading project development from sales through construction. At DAC Energy, Alexander ensures every project transitions seamlessly from design to operation—delivering results with precision, speed, and integrity. Alex is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
